- The Team at House Of Volunteers
Vision Australia
Vision Australia’s reason for being is to support people who are blind or have low vision to live the life they choose. We are a not for profit organisation that relies on the generosity of our community to support our important work and we would love to hear from you.

Location: Australia wide
Requirements: Vision Australia accepts volunteers from 12 years of age onwards. Volunteers are matched to roles based on their skills, knowledge and interests. The skills, knowledge and enthusiasm that volunteers bring to our organisation allows Vision Australia to continue to provide a broad range of high quality, person centred services to clients, their families and the community.
Information
We have volunteers who volunteer with us once a year at events such as Carols by Candlelight, some who volunteer on a more regular basis: weekly, fortnightly or monthly and those who volunteer for ongoing, longer term commitments such as Puppy Carers.
During the course of your duties you may come into contact with Seeing Eye Dogs.
All volunteers are expected to undertake a screening and training process prior to commencement with the organisation and to undertake refresher training on a regular basis.
All new Volunteers will be offered the opportunity to attend a Workforce Induction session at one of our flagship centres and to meet members of the Vision Australia Leadership Group during this day.
